Still no news from the article gig. I want to be patient. Because if I email and find out this company was some sort of fraud or I got duped somehow and wont be getting published, I will be sooooo heartbroken!!! (And ready to break out my can of whoop-a-tail) I signed a contract darn it!! I've heard of the scams though. Usually they begin with you paying an upfront fee or something ridiculous. I ha vent paid a thing. Just sent my original work. *SIGH* So I'll wait till the actually day it was due. Then I'm emailing the editor. Surely theres a reason for the silence....Hopefully it's not that my article sucks!! What if it's totally off the mark and I have to rewrite?? What is the deadline for that? What if it doesn't make the issue? (Trying on my best magazine lingo, lol) I just want a job in writing people!! WHY is this so difficult!!!
Off topic:
Why did my boss just casually walk over to my desk and ask me for something he already has? And of course since I'm job hunting (oh so discreetly!) in between my daily tasks, he walks up at the exact moment that I have my Gmail account up. Danger element? I have at least 5 emails from job sites sitting in my inbox, thanking me for my "interest" and "application" in big bold print. lol And you know what? I did close the window, but slowly. Deliberately. Because I don't really care. He's quitting too! Gone in 3 days. What does he care? Ugh. Why did we just have a meeting and he literally said " I don't care what you guys do for the next 3 days!" Good. I'm so outta here. Where's that recruiter's number...
