Writer, Blocked.

So I'm abandoing my pitch I was working on. I went to the site and saw that there is already an article about what I was writing about. Maybe I'll revamp the pitch, but I'm kinda bummed because of that. It's like- crap how am I going to finally get started if I am not creative enough to come up with something original?? But I guess I shouldnt be so hard on myself.

So anyway I'm stretching my legs on the freelance sites and so far I've done nothing but repeatedly define the saying about haste making waste. I've totally invested in the wrong site! I've got samples of my work up, completed tests, completed resumes and tons of info about me, on a site that you have to PAY to get certified in the skill set tests! So people that pay to take tests and pass will be way more marketable and therefore win way more projects than little old too-cheap-to-buy-a-test-for-all-my-skills me. Little bit of research? Odesk is totally free. What a waste of time. So now I'm going to have to transfer all my stuff to Odesk. But what I'm thinking I will do is mention in the e-lance site that I'm certified on Odesk. Maybe that will be worth something. Especially when I list all the skills I"ve been certified in....
